Major Improvements & Features
Price Elasticity
One question asked by many of our customers is "If I adjust my prices, how will my demand change". To help answer that question, StockIQ has added new screens to help model and simulate how price fluctuations due to vendor cost increases, tariffs, or the like will impact your demand planning.
If starting to explore price elasticity, defaults can be set up in the Default Price Elasticity Settings screen. However, the majority of price elasticity functionality can be found in the Custom Price Elasticity Curves screen. This screen is preconfigured with a handful of existing curves that are a good starting place for a variety of industries. While you cannot modify values for out-of-the-box models, you can clone a specific model and edit the values to match your specific company's preferences.
Back in Forecast Manager, we have some new charts, edit menu options, and tabs. The Pricing Tab contains two grids. One is imported Item-Customer-Price changes you may have from your data extracts. The other is an Average Cost And Price grid, which stores calculated averages from your sales history. Users can add simulations in this grid
The Elasticity Tab allows you to select which of the custom price elasticity curves you'd like to view for the selected hierarchy node. From there, the Elasticity chart can help you evaluate how that curve will impact demand, revenue, COGs, and margin
Finally, under the Edit menu, you can choose the option to apply your curve and price change simulations for viewing in the main Forecast chart
Once simulation settings are applied, two new lines will be drawn on the Forecast Chart to model the effects of your simulation
Planning Bills
If you have sets of products with varying size, color, style, etc, StockIQ has introduced a new way to help you plan expected distributions across variants.
Similar to the new Price Elasticity screens, you can begin by configuring basic planning bill defaults in the Global Planning Settings screen in System Configuration. From there, new custom sets of planning bills can be set up in the Custom Planning Bills screen.
Additionally, the Calculated Planning Bills screen allows you to configure auto-calculated planning bills. Once you select the hierarchy level and category in which you'd like a planning bill created, StockIQ begins to calculate the weights accordingly to help with planning throughout the rest of the app
Back in Forecast Manager there is a new Disaggregation Tab. This tab allows you to select your configured custom planning bills
Clicking on the Disaggregation Weights hyperlink takes you into the Planning Bill Viewer to visualize your distribution across variants
