Major Improvements & Features
Tariff/Cost
With the ever-changing tariff situation, StockIQ has added some new features to increase visibility for these factors when ordering.
New columns have been added in Place Orders Step 2 including Country Of Origin, Import Tax %, Landed Cost, and Landed Margin to help you decide whether or not to make edits to Order Qty based off these facts.
Additionally we've added a new cost field to Shipping Containers setup to be used in the Container Loading wizard in Place Orders Step 2
One Click Ordering
Instead of stepping through all 6 steps of Place Orders to send a purchase order from StockIQ to your ERP, you can now simply select the vendor you'd like to order from and order all suggested items in one easy click. You can use this option by navigating to Place Orders, right click the vendor you'd like to order from, and hit Order All. Note there is not a review screen before the order is sent to the ERP. All suggested dates and quantities will be used in the order without any user edits.
Trend Chart Annotations
Have you wanted to be able to add a note to the chart in Forecast Manager to easily highlight key information? Well now you can! We've added the ability to add annotations to the summary chart in Forecast Manager at any hierarchy level. To add a new annotation, simply navigate to the hierarchy node you'd like to annotate (ex: Item-Site), right click the data point in the chart you would like to annotate, and select Add/Edit Annotation.
Along with the ability to add or edit annotations, we also provided an option to show or hide existing annotations within the same menu. Annotation options can also be saved in Views
Option Not To Forecast
By popular demand, we've added the option to not forecast a certain hierarchy node. This setting can be accessed by navigating in Forecast Manager to the node you'd like not to forecast, selecting the Forecast Settings tab, changing Forecast Control to Not Forecasted, and hitting Save.
While this setting can be adjusted at any level in the hierarchy, it's important to note that any nodes underneath the changed setting will also be set to Not Forecasted. For example, if Site is above Item in the hierarchy and a certain site is set to Not Forecasted, all items under that site will also be set to Not Forecasted. You are not allowed to set overrides for nodes underneath a Not Forecasted node to be forecasted, so be entirely sure about which level you are changing this setting
Direct Ship Wizard
We've added the Direct Ship Wizard in the Place Orders Step 2 Edit Menu to help with improved ordering for hub/spoke models. This wizard helps identify when it may make sense to order product directly into the spoke warehouse instead of ordering to the hub then initiating a transfer.
The Direct Ship Wizard dialog behaves similarly to the existing Order Wizard where you can select which targets and options you'd like the wizard to use for suggestions. You can read more about each individual setting and how it affects the wizard's results in the Direct Ship Wizard article
Once the wizard has been run, direct ship suggestions appear in Step 2 for you to accept or edit before applying the changes to your order
Warehouse Capacity Features
For some, warehouse capacity issues may need to be factored into Supply Planning. For that purpose we have had some new features to ensure new orders do not surpass warehouse capacity limits. New columns can be found in the Place Orders Step 2 Column Chooser (Prj Zone % Usage, Current Zone % Usage, and Warehouse Zone) to easily help you adjust order quantities to not exceed 100% warehouse zone usage
Additionally, we've added a new validation check in Step 3 of Place orders that measures your capacity for all the arrival dates of your lines in your order(s) to ensure you didn't miss any lines that could surpass warehouse zone capacity
If you have data in your ERP for warehouse capacity and you'd like to use these new features, please reach out to StockIQ Support
