This article describes how to delete or cancel an order or lines that you have placed by mistake, have a duplicate, or otherwise need to cancel.
IMPORTANT: Not all orders can be canceled in StockIQ, depending on the information that StockIQ has about the order and its synchronizations status with your ERP. If StockIQ will not let you cancel the order, then you must cancel it in your ERP system. StockIQ will see the cancellation the next day.
- Click the Purchase module, and click the Order History screen
- Search for your order by using the Filters button, or simply type your order number into one of the order number fields.
- Highlight the line(s) that you want to cancel
- IMPORTANT: You must select at least one line you want to cancel. Canceling all lines on the order cancels the order.
- NOTE: You can select more than one line by using CTRL+Click or SHIFT+Click, or CTRL+A to select all lines
- Click Edit --> Cancel Selected Lines
- If the lines you selected can be canceled, they will be canceled, and StockIQ will re-plan order schedules for the affected items
These same actions are available in the Review Orders screen.
StockIQ supports a variety of scenarios under which orders and lines can and cannot be canceled. Generally, if the order has already been sent to the outside world, it can no longer be edited or canceled, unless specifically configured. This means that most of the time:
Lines that CAN be canceled:
- In "Review" or "Confirmed" status that have not been sent to the ERP
- In "Hold For Merge" status
- In "Approved" status that have not yet been sent to the ERP
Lines that CANNOT be canceled:
- Lines that have been "Sent" to the ERP (this is common in hosted/cloud scenarios)
- Lines in "Needs ReSync" status
- Lines in "Synced" status
- Lines that have been "Accepted" by the ERP and are sync status "Synced"
- Lines that have already been canceled
- Lines that have already been Merged from Hold For Merge status into a new order
- Lines in "Review" or "Confirm" status that have been sent to the ERP (this is rare)
