StockIQ bases the decision to class an item as "N" based on the age of the item. If we have no information about the item, then rather than being given the "N" class, it will be assigned into whatever class it would normally receive, since it's not specially being treated as new.
The most common reason for this to happen is if StockIQ is not receiving any information about the item's age in the data feeds, in particular:
- No Date Created is being sent in the Item-Site data feed
- No Date First Stocked is being sent in the Item-Site feed, OR the option to use Date First Stocked for the item's age is not enabled.
- The item replaces another item, and the "Allow Part to Be New if It Replaces Something" option is disabled in the Replacements Settings.
