Yes. It can be overridden in the data extracts from the ERP.
There is a field ErpAbcClass in the ItemSite data feed. You will need to contact StockIQ or the person on your team that manages extracts to get it changed. You will need a source for this data in your ERP to get it loaded.
If you don't have a source for that data you have some alternate options.
- Create a Safety Stock Override - In most instances, one of the main effects of an item's class is to assign its service level target, and in turn, that is a major input into the item's safety stock level. Many times when somebody wants to override the class, what they really want is to modify the safety stock value.
- Create a service level override - A more indirect route to the same goal is by creating a service level override.
Newly Added Items
In some cases, if you have a relatively long refresh/recalculate frequency set for your classes (e.g. monthly or quarterly), some items will be added to your catalog, but will not have been classes by StockIQ, since they were added after the last classing calculation was run. Such items are assigned ABC class "A" until the classing is run.
In this instance, the solution is simply to manually run the classing calculation in the Classing Setup Screen.
