This article describes how to run a what-if scenario in the Service Level Analysis screen on how things would change if you updated your service level targets. Anyone with Inventory view permissions can perform the following actions
- Go to Inventory --> Service Level Analysis
- This screen presents each active item in your catalog, for many different service level targets between 50 and 99.9999%.)
- Using the filters, limit the display to only the particular set of items in which you are curious, and you can view the results in either the grid, or the pivot chart.
Example: "What if I wanted to increase the service level on my A items from 98.5% to 99.5%?"
- Load the service level analysis screen.
- Click on "Filters" and filter to ABC Class "A" items only.
- In the grid, filter the Tgt Sl % column to show the 98.5% value only
- Note the totals in the stat SS and Stat SS$ columns.
- Change your grid filter to 99.5%, note the change in totals for the stat SS and stat SS $ columns.
The result will look something like this:
As an alternate strategy, after step 1 above, you can simply click to the "Pivot" tab, and view the totals displayed under each class and service level heading. Add and remove fields using the field chooser as you see fit:
