This article describes how to get a report on projected inventory levels. Any user with permissions to view the Inventory module can perform the following actions
- Click on the Inventory Module, then select the On Hand Detail screen.
- Select which tab that specifies the level at which you want information, such as:
- Projected Inventory by Item-Site
- ...By Site
- ...By Hierarchy Level (e.g. product categories or groups)
- Click the "Display" button, and select the "Show Projected Values" checkbox. Optionally check the "Show Current Values" and "Show Historical" check boxes depending on what you want to see.
- Additionally, you may want to change the interval so data is shown in Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly buckets.
- Optional: Change the "Chart Measure" to the measure you're interested in, such as:
- On Hand Quantity
- Standard Cost On Hand Balance
- Cubes
- Pallets
- Click "Apply"
- Optional: Click the Filters button to filter down by additional criteria and click "Apply"
The resulting information is shown in a grid, which you can export for Excel manipulation, a chart for visual summary, or at the bottom of the screen, a pivot grid style layout.
NOTE: The projected values shown in this screen are based on the projected on hand values you see in the Order Schedule for individual parts
TIP: If you are viewing the data by hierarchy level, you can use the "Hierarchy Level" box in the display options to move up and down the hierarchy to get additional detail.
IMPORTANT: If you are using the Pivot layout for analysis, make sure you don't have both the "Current" and "Projected" checkboxes checked, as you will get a doubling up of values in the current period
