Definition
The StockOuts Alert will notify you whether or stockout items have open demand, and additionally, if there is open supply to fulfill that demand.
The goal is to help identify, in an automated way, if additional supply planning needs to occur in order to fulfill open demand for out of stock items.
The main screen for the StockOuts alert is the StockOuts screen.
You can find these settings by clicking the Alerts button in the Stockouts screen.
The StockOuts Settings control when you see alerts for the StockOuts alert messages.
- Minimum Lost Revenue Per Day- Minimum lost revenue in sales * cost before you want this stock out to be an alert. Leave blank to disable this test, or set to zero to have any amount of lost revenue allow an alert
- Minimum Lost Units Per Day- Minimum lost sales units before you want this stock out to be an alert. Leave blank to disable this test, or set to zero to have any amount of lost sale allow an alert
- Do not alert for items with non-stock order policy- This is usually turned on
- Do not alert for X items- This is usually turned on
