The Item Site Supplier Detail shows many different facts that we know about a particular item-site-supplier combo, arranged in a series of tabs.
It is available in many places throughout the application, usually by clicking on a blue hyperlink text, or by right-clicking in many grids, such as the Place Orders or Order Schedule grids, and selecting the "Item Site Supplier Detail..." option.
Below is a description of those different tabs available:
-
Attributes - This tab shows basic info about the part, including:
- Supplier's Item Code - What the supplier calls this, if available
- Category - The supplier item category (sometimes called "Purchasing Group"), if there is one.
- Supplier Cost - What you specifically pay for inventory from this supplier
- Supplier On-Hand Quantity - On-hand level at the supplier, if available
- Min/Mult - Minimum and Multiple quantities for ordering
- Order Yield % - The yield when ordering from this supplier. Yield refers to how much of what you order do you actually receive. This is used when damage in transport is a part of life, e.g. if you order 100lbs of lettuce, likely you only receive 95lbs of usable lettuce, etc.
- Stocking UoM - the unit of measure in which you stock inventory. This is what you see 99% of the time in StockIQ.
- Purchase UoM - the unit of measure in which you purchase from this vendor. For example, you may stock in eaches, but have to purchase in cases of 12.
- Stock:Purchase Conversion - The conversion between those two, e.g. 12 to convert from eaches to a case of 12, e.g. your stocking-units-per-purchase-units.
- Lead Times - Lead time detail, as shown in the Lead Time Viewer overview tab, showing how your lead times are being determined.
- Order Multiples - Shows information about differing order multiples that exist in your data. Everybody will always have a base order multiple. However, if you order normally in cases of 12, you may also inform StockIQ about additional multiples, such as a pallet layer of 4 cases (48 eaches), and a full pallet of 4 layers (16 cases = 192 eaches). StockIQ can then adjust its order quantity to get up to full multiples when ordering to ease receiving, such as if we are 1 box shy of a full pallet, it will order the extra box to reach a full pallet for convenience if you wish it to.
-

- Active Order Cycle Length - length, in calendar days (and work days) of the order cycle for this supplier-site pair.
- Cycle Type - The method used to arrive at this cycle, e.g. a fixed length, supplier-min based, supplier-EOQ based, and so on.
- Settings - Describes the settings used to arrive the order cycle, such as your system defaults, an override, etc.
- Note - Any note associated with those settings.
- Evaluation Period & Days - Shows the date range over which activity was evaluated when calculating the StockIQ order cycle information. This is typically based on the next 30 days of forecasted activity from this supplier.
- EOQ-Based Order Cycle - The order cycle StockIQ would calculate based on the supplier level EOQ. See Economic Order Quantity
- Supplier Mins-based Order Cycle - This is the order cycle that results from looking at demand from this supplier versus the supplier minimums they have imposed upon you. For example, if you do $1,000 a month from the vendor, and they have a minimum of $500 per order, your order cycle is then about 15 days, since it takes 15 days to get to needing around $500 worth of material from them.
- Supplier/Site/Category Activity Summary - These are forecasted usage values from the evaluation period, presented in terms of units, COGS, weight, cubes, pallets, and EU's, so that you can see what kind of volumes were being used to calculate the EOQ-based and Minimum-Based order cycle recommendations
- Supplier Minimums - Shows the supplier and supplier-category minimums in play for this supplier. Add them in the Supplier Minimums configuration screen if you have these.
