The Inventory Snapshot shows many different facts that we know about a particular item, arranged in a series of tabs.
It is available in many places throughout the application, usually by clicking on a blue hyperlink text, or by right-clicking in most grids and selecting the "Inventory Snapshot..." option.
Below is a description of those different tabs available:
- Attributes - A list of basic attributes about the item, most of which are loaded from the ERP, but also including some additional information like the calculated usage pattern, target service level, EOQ, and so on.
- On Hand - A listing of various on-hand and available quantities for the item, including replaced-on-hand and total on hand, as well as an evaluation of the current Inventory Position and Excess threshold information.

Order Policy - Shows detail about the order policy for your item.
- Active Order Policy - The active order policy is the order policy currently in use in your system, after all rules and overrides are applied.
- ERP-Provided Order Policy - the order policy read from your ERP system by the extracts and extract business rules
- StockIQ Calculated Order Policy - The order policy determined by StockIQ based on the StockIQ Order Policy Settings
- Settings - shows the settings for how your order policy was arrived at.

On Order - Open supply orders for your item-site, such as PO's, Transfers, and Workorders, using the same columns as the Open Supply Orders Grid.
- TIP: There is also a checkbox you can check to see open orders from ALL locations, instead of just the item-site that you originally opened the box for.
- Blankets - Shows detail about blanket purchase order lines for your item
- In Transit - Shows incoming shipment detail for your item
- Open Demand - Open demand orders for your item site, using the same columns as the Demand Order Detail window for the independent sales orders, and Dependent Demand Detail Window for the dependent demands.
- Suppliers - A list of suppliers for this product, using the same columns as the summary in the Lead Time Viewer
- Replacements - Item-Sites that replace this item-site, and items that this item-site replaces, according to your settings in the Item Site Replacements screen.
- BoM - Shows parent and child BoM and Hub/Spoke dependencies for the item that you clicked on, including on-hand, order policy, and available information for each parent and child.
- BoM Visualization - Shows a graphical tree representation of the BoM
- Alternates - Shows alternate inventory options for the item you clicked on, e.g alternate sites for your part, and also alternate item numbers if you are sending in a list to the Alternate Item Sites data feed.

Bins - Information about bin locations for this item in the warehouse, if we are receiving bin information from your ERP or WMS. Attributes such as zone, bay, level, slot, etc may vary by WMS and not be present depending on your WMS data. Brief description of the bin-related columns are below:
- Alert Priority / State - shows state of any alerts related to this bin and if the inventory in it is mis-slotted
- Location Type - Generalized type field for what type of warehouse bin location this is. Free-form.
- Zone/Aisle/Bay/Level/Slot - Location information about that particular bin as available from your WMS.
- Target Velocity Code - Specifies the quality of this location in the ERP, i.e. an A location is a high-velocity, front-of-warehouse type spot, D or E is the opposite of this. This is compared to the item's ABC code to decide if the item is mis-slotted or not.
- Environment Code - information about the bin type, such as cold storage, refrigerated, frozen, etc.
- Is Home Location? - allows you to identify if this is the main/primary, aka "Home" location for picking this Item
- Is Bulk Storage? - allows you to identify if this location is a bulk (typically non-picking) location
- Lots - Inventory lots of this item, if we are receiving them from your ERP. Inventory Lots can be used to create an Expiration Forecast

History - A listing of detailed day-by-day history snapshots kept for this item, including historical:
- On Hand
- Available
- Order Policy
- Safety/Target/Max stock
- Standard Cost
- ABC, XYZ
- Target Service Level
- Usage Pattern
- Inventory Position
- Load Balancing - Shows details of any load balancing records this item-site is involved in, if any.
- Customers - Shows detail of customer activity on this item-site from the past 12 months, including which customers, qty sold, COGS, Revenue, Margin, and Hits. A similar display is available for SKU Rationalization in the Stratification Detail Screen
