The Order Schedule Header Grid shows high level summary information about the order schedule of your items.
Some of the most key information is whether or not there is a projected available alert against this item, and its current and projected inventory positions.
It is visible in the Order Schedule screen, accessible by clicking to Purchase --> Order Schedule. It is also in the Order Schedule Popup dialog accessible through Forecast Manager and various context menus within the StockIQ application.
Clicking on any entry in this grid will load the item in the left-hand side of the order schedule detail.
You can right-click to access a context menu which gives various popup dialog options, as well as the ability to load the selected item in the right-hand side of the screen, allow you to easily compare two items at once.
TIP: Use this feature to compare the order schedule for the same item from vendors with different lead times, or to compare the hub/spoke or parent/child dependencies in a BoM.
Columns
There are several very useful columns in this header grid in addition to the standard item/site/supplier and ABC/XYZ info:
- Alert Priority (bell) - If an icon is present, shows you the priority of any alert against this item. The most important of these is the high priority message, which is an item projected out of stock at lead time.
- IMPORTANT: An item can be projected out of stock (or below SS) and not show an alert if its amount below or value below does not meet your criteria in the Projected Available Alert Settings, so you can use the Inv. Pos @ LT value below if you want to know ALL items with a certain projected inventory position.
- Alert State (play/pause) - shows if this alert is still active or not. If suspended, you won't see the alert included in your alert counts in the StockIQ home page.
- Supplier Item Code - shows you the supplier's part number (aka Item Code) for this SKU, if different from your own.
- Supplier Level - shows you if the row shown is for the primary, secondary, tertiary (etc) supplier. You can filter this to primary only if you wish.
- Inventory Position - Your current inventory position
- Worst Inv. Pos - The worst inventory position you will be in between now and lead time. This can vary based on firm demands, projected arrival of PO's and so on. The "Worst" rankings are as follows:
- Out of Stock (worst)
- Below Panic Point
- Below Safety Stock
- Overstocked
- Excess
- OK (best)
- Inv. Pos @ LT - Shows the inventory position at lead time for the item, based on the projected on hand levels. You can use this to filter on items that you might be running out of (Out of Stock), or that you are showing (projected) Excess. This can be useful for an expedite or deexpedite view.
- Order Policy - The active order policy of the item, e.g. how replenishment is currently being done for this item. Allows you to filter out items that are perhaps non-stock etc.
- Order Cycle - The length of your order cycle in calendar days
- On Order Quantity - Total amount of incoming supply on order (PO, WO, Transfers, etc.)
- Planning LT - your end-to-end planning lead time for the product. See Lead Time.
- On Hand Qty - How much you currently have on hand
- Out Of Stock Quantity - Usually zero, this shows the quantity at which you consider yourself out of stock. For some parts, this can be a greater-than-zero amount, but this is rare.
- Order Mult. - the line-level order multiple for any orders from this vendor
- EOQ - The Economic Order Quantity for this item. Note that EOQ is used in ordering only for the Order Point Order Policy
- Safety Stock - Your current active safety stock
- Target Stock - Your current active target stock
- Max Stock - Your current active max stock level.
- Component Of - Shows how many part numbers in which this item number is used as a component (or as a spoke).
- Components - Shows how many components (or hubs) that are used by this item.
- Next Scheduled Ship Date - shows the next (soonest) date that a PO is scheduled to ship, if any open PO's are present. This is very useful when looking at Excess or Projected Out of Stock items, as you can see what PO's might be able to be expedited, or de-expedited/canceled.
- Next Scheduled Dock Date - shows the next (soonest) date that a PO is scheduled to arrive at your shipping dock, if any open PO's are present. This is very useful when looking at Excess or Projected Out of Stock items, as you can see what PO's might be able to be expedited, or de-expedited/canceled.
- Next Order # - Shows the next order # due on the next scheduled dock date, to make it quickly sortable/groupable
- Next PO Qty - Shows the next quantity due on that next order #, so you have some sense of how much can be moved if necessary
- Projected Out Of Stock - If you are projected to be out of stock based on the "Inv Pos @ LT" column, this shows the date that you're projected to be out of stock.
- Alert Message - Shows the contents of any alert message as though you were seeing it in the Alerts Summary, so you can see the complete alert message.
