Summary
The Item Customer Site Mapping screen allows you to move demand for a particular Customer-Ship-To and Item combination from one (or many) sites, into a target destination site.
Examples of this include when you are transitioning a customer to a new site for some items, such as if you have opened up a new warehouse for certain product lines (but not for others), and want their demand history to be removed from the old site(s) (so forecast is reduced accordingly), and also to map the demand history for that customer to the new site, so the item-site's forecast is increased accordingly.
You can access this by going to Admin --> System Configuration --> Item-Customer-Site Mapping.
NOTE: This mapping is that the Customer-Ship-To, Item and Site level of detail, so you can remap individual customer ship to destinations to the new item/site, while other destinations may stay on the old item/site
Column Description
To add a new mapping, click the "+" icon at the right hand side of the grid. A new line will appear for your new record, and you can enter the values you want for your mapping. When you've entered the information you want to, click the "Save" link near the right-hand side of the grid.
IMPORTANT:
- These mappings are applied during the data import step of StockIQ's morning processing, so you will see the effect of these records only after the next FULL refresh of StockIQ.
- Open orders are not remapped. Any open demand will show at the correct warehouse out of which it will be fulfilled so that inventory projections are correct. Once closed, the order will be remapped
Item - The item that you are remapping
Customer Ship To - The customer-ship-to for which you want to do the mapping
Site - The new destination site where you want demand to be remapped for this item and customer-ship-to combination. Unless you specify otherwise, demand for this item and ship-to combo from ANY site is remapped into this destination site.
From Site - If you wish, you can limit the remapping to a single "From" site, so that only demand for the Item/Customer and From Site combo will be remapped into your destination site.
Date Effective - When you would like this rule to start being applied. (this is not commonly used)
Date Expires - When you would like this rule to stop being applied (this is not commonly used)
Start Date - The first date for which you want records mapped from the old site(s) to the new site. Any sales to this CustomerShipTo/Item combo BEFORE this date will NOT be mapped. (This is not common)
End Date - The last date for which you want records mapped from the old item to the new item. Any sales to this CustomerShipTo for the Old Item AFTER this date will NOT be mapped. (This is not common)
Note - Any note you wish to apply to the record to help you remember why you put it there in the future.
