The Min Max Order Policy has a few options you can configure to control how this policy is applied for you and your organization.
These settings are global to all items using the Min/Max policy.
Access this screen by going to Admin--> System Configuration --> Min Max Order Policy Settings
- Include Independent Forecast - Sets whether min/max should include independent forecast or not when making its purchase recommendations and inventory projections. Generally you will leave this option disabled, as typically the min/max policy is used when the forecast is unreliable or inaccurate due to the item's demand history.
- Include Dependent Forecast - Sets whether the min/max policy should include the effects of dependent forecast from spokes or parent assemblies when making purchase recommendations and inventory projections. Generally it is advisable to leave this enabled.
- Use Statistical Max if no ERP Max is Provided - When using the Min Max Order Policy, it is possible to provide StockIQ with the desired Min and Max levels that you want planned towards in the ItemSite data feed. If these are not present, then StockIQ can use as the effective "Max" the statistical Max Stock quantity calculated by StockIQ's statistical inventory calculations.
NOTE: The Min/Max target quantity is NOT the same thing as the max stock statistical inventory quantity. You will see different columns for these two values throughout the application.
