Summary
The Edit Service Level Optimization Budgets dialog allows you to configure the budgets to use when performing the site-level optimization for service level.
It is accessible through either the Global Service Level Settings screen, where you can save ongoing budgets, and through the Service Level Optimization screen, where you can configure a budget for simulation purposes, and optionally save the new budgets as well.
Column Description
When opened, the dialog shows a number of columns:
- Site, Site Name - the site in question.
- Budget - the currently configured budget for the site. If one has not been set, this will say $0. Sites without a budget are not included in the optimization.
- Current Stat SS $ - the current inventory investment recommended by current statistical safety stock levels, e.g. where you are right now, based on the pure statistical calculated safety stock.
- Current Active SS $ - the current inventory SS investment actively in place, including all effects of your overrides, order policy settings, and such. For example, non-stock items will not have any active safety stock recommended.
- Forecasted Annual Cogs - expected annual COGS, based on current forecast.
- SS % of COGS - safety stock as a percent of annual COGS, to give you a sense of where you are relatively, currently.
- Date Updated - when you updated the budget for this site, if ever.
- Note - any note you left for yourself or others on why this budget is what it is.
When you have completed entering your safety stock budget, click the Apply or Save button, and your data will be stored.
