A "SIOP Series Set" are different sets of columns and display options that you can pre-configure so that your SIOP meetings are as efficient as possible and targeted to the right audience.
It is accessible by clicking Admin --> System Configuration --> SIOP Series Sets
Default Series Sets
For example, StockIQ provides some out-of-the-box SIOP Series Configurations for common SIOP Meetings:
- Demand Review - Focuses on previous year demand, current year forecast series, and changes between them.
- Supply Review - Focuses on open supply, demand, and the firm vs planned replenishments from StockIQ, as well as projected cash requirements and inventory levels.
- Executive Review - Combines aspects of supply and review to display past year demand, current year forecast, growth percentages, and supply plans to support that growth.
These are just examples of what you may want to configure and offer some starting points. You will see these in the "SIOP Series Sets" grid at the top of this screen. Click one to see details of the series set.
Edit SIOP Series
When you click a series, details will appear so you can edit its characteristics:
- Series Set Name - This is the name for your set that will appear in lists and the header of the SIOP dashboard
- Display Interval - Sets if the frequency of data should be monthly, weekly, quarterly, etc.
- Horizon Length - How many periods of data do you want to be shown, such as 12 months, 4 quarters, etc.
-
Unit Of Measure - This sets the default unit-of-measure for your data sets in this series. For example, when forecasting with operations people, you may want to focus on units. However, finance/accounting/CXO may think in terms of revenue dollars.
- Individual series can be explicitly set to use a certain unit -- see below.
- Show YTD Totals? - Sets if you want to see your year-to-date totals column. Note that not all series types have a meaningful sum for this column, such as on-hand levels over time.
- Show Year-End Totals? - Sets if you see your year-end totals (YTD + remaining months in year). Note that not all series have a meaningful total, such as on-hand levels over time.
- Show Horizon Totals - Sets whether you want to see totals for the end of your horizon set with the "Horizon" length. For example, if you have a 12-month Horizon and you are in June, your Horizon totals will be your June-May (of next year) totals.
