The Projected Stock Out Alert will notify you when items are projected out of stock or below panic point, at lead time.
The goal is to help identify, in an automated way, when items are not predicted to have an optimal inventory position at lead time.
The main screen for the Projected Stock Out Alert is the Projected Stockouts screen.
The Projected Stock Out Alert Settings control when you see alerts or not for items that are projected for a stockout or below panic point.
- Generate only for Primary Supplier- Recommended so that you only see this for your primary supplier, which sets your normal replenishment lead time and replenishment plan.
- Min Projected Negative Balance- Minimum dollars/value below out of stock quantity before an alert is generated
- Min Projected Negative- Minimum units below out of stock quantity before an alert is generated
- Alert When Below Panic Point - Whether or not to generate this alert for projected inventory levels below panic point.
- Min Below Panic Pt Balance- Minimum dollars/value below panic point before an alert is generated
- Min Below Panic Pt Units- Minimum units below panic point before an alert is generated
- Check For Non-Stock Order Policy Item-Sites - Normally, projected out-of-stock warnings are not generated for items with non-stock order policies since they are SUPPOSED to be out of stock. Enable this checkbox to see alerts for these item-sites.
- Suppress Alert if next supply order is arriving soon - When enabled, you can suppress an alert if existing supply is going to take care of the issue soon enough. When you check this box, a new field will appear where you can specify what is "Soon Enough" for you to consider suppressing the alert.
