Summary
The Alerts Summary screen is a one-stop-shop for all the item-sites that StockIQ has identified outside of the normal parameters. This page provides actionable detail to give you an idea of where adjustments need to be made in all the modules.
Column Descriptions
In addition to the usual Item, Site, Description, Class, etc. columns, there are some additional columns here in the Alerts Grid that are useful:
Alert Type - You can read more about the different alert types in the StockIQ Alerts Overview
Date First Alerted - Date of first alert (prompted from settings in individual screens)
Alert Message - Description of where the item is raising an alert and what for.
Date Suspended - Date the alert was suspended
Suspended By- User that suspended the alert
Alert Note - Place for notes to capture why an alert was suspended.
React. Date - Date the alert will reactivate
Context Menu
You will do most of your activity on an alert through the context menu that appears when you right-click:
- Show Details - This navigates you to the screen that is the 'home' screen for that alert. For example, a "Projected Excess" alert will take you to the projected Excess screen. This opens in a new window so you don't lose your place in the list of alerts.
- Suspend - shows the dialog to suspend an alert for a length of time.
- Ignore - suspend/ignore that alert indefinitely
- Active - Allows you to re-activate an alert if it's previously been ignored or suspended.
Detail Tabs
Some tabs with details are available at the bottom of the screen to help you make a quick decision on the alert.
- Alert Detail - This echoes some of the key facts about the alert in an easy-to-read layout
-
Related Alerts - Lets you quickly see any other alerts related to the item or hierarchy node that you clicked on.
- TIP: This is a good way to suspend all alerts for a given product if you wish.
- Forecast - Shows the forecast chart for the product or hierarchy level
- Schedule - Shows the order schedule for the product (if available)
- Sawtooth - Shows the sawooth chart for the product (if available)
Troubleshooting
- I have too many alerts, how do I parse through them? : When you first look at this page, it can be overwhelming to see the number of alerts. To start from a clean slate, either suspend all alerts or set the Date First Alerted column to be less than or equal to the current month. Doing one of these two options allows only new alerts to rise to the surface and breaks down the required actions to a more manageable level. Don't focus on all the alerts at once. Choose 1 or 2 to hone in on and build a process that works for you. We recommend you look at the alerts for your A items first. Once you feel comfortable and have developed a review cadence, start adding in more to your bucket.
