StockIQ allows you to enter information about upcoming supplier cost changes, e.g. price increases. You can use this to inform your purchasing, e.g. perhaps to buy more inventory sooner.
Access the screen for entering these in the Admin--> System Configuration --> Supplier Cost Changes.
Do not use this for price breaks/discounts, for that, use the Item Level Price Breaks feature.
When you access this screen, you will see a simple grid:
- Supplier - supplier with the upcoming price change
- Item - the item that the cost change will be for.
- Date Effective - when does this cost change go into effect?
- Supplier Cost - what is the new cost? This will be put on your PO's that you place for this supplier after that date.
- Note - Any note associated with the cost change.
NOTE: You can have > 1 of these for a given supplier and item at a time, if they are giving you a schedule of known future price changes.
Once entered, you will see StockIQ respond to these in the Supply Order Line Grid and provide notes alerting you to the upcoming price changes.
