Summary
Use these display options to control what you see in the Forecast Manager display.
Field Descriptions
1. Chart Units - Allows you to control the UoM shown in the chart. Default is Units, but you can change to COGS, Revenue, or Margin. You can choose to edit, view, and save your forecasts in these unit of measures, so if you think in terms of a revenue forecast and not a unit forecast, you can work in those units as you wish.
2. Hierarchy Level - This sets which hierarchy level you want the input grid to show. Normally this is set to the lowest level of your hierarchy - the item-site-forecast group level, since this is normally the level at which forecasting is done.
You can change this selection to move higher up the hierarchy, and the contents of the grid will change to match. One common selection is "Site" to move up to the Item-Site level, so that you can see the summed forecasts for the item-site, including any dependent demand and dependent forecast.
3. Hierarchy Node Filtering -
This allows you to clean up the list that you see in the grid and the tree.
- Show All: All nodes are shown, regardless of if they have forecast or not.
- With Forecast: Only items with nonzero forecast values are shown
- Without Forecast: Only items without forecast are shown. This gives you the ability to see any items that have no forecast set, so that you can enter one if necessary.
4. Show Current & Future Actuals - This checkbox is a toggle to show/hide the display of demand in the current and future months.
5. Show Events - This checkbox is a toggle that allows you to show or hide all events on the chart.
6. Chart Zooming - These select boxes allow you to set the range of months and weeks shown in the forecast charts. Normally, Forecast Manager will show you as much history and forecast as it is generating, according to your Global Forecast Settings. However, you can use these zoom settings to trim down the chart you see to make it more readable - this can be especially helpful with weekly forecasts.
7. Grid Editor - Number of Years - How many years to show on the manual grid editor. Default is 1 year's worth of future points, but this can be extended to show 2 full years of future points for manual editing if necessary.
