The Usage Pattern calculated by StockIQ is an attempt to help get a feel for how an item is moving through your warehouse at a glance. The following values are calculated and stored in StockIQ, and these can give you an overall feel for the health of your catalog of SKUs.
- New: This item is still new according to the item age specified in the Inventory Limits screen.
- Recurring: This item has recurring demand. This is what most items should be classified as. These are the only items that can have lost sales calculated and applied. Only Recurring items are eligible to have Bias Detection applied in the StockIQ forecast algorithm
- Sporadic: This item has been detected to be sporadic in its demand pattern. Settings related to sporadic items can be found in the Global Inventory Limits screen
- Slow Movers: This item is too slow to be considered sporadic, and meets criteria according to the Inventory Limits screen, which is usually < 3 hits in the last 6 months. Also, if an item has no activity at all, but is not old enough to have been considered dead, it is marked as slow.
- Dead Stock: This item has no activity (sales or dependent demand) in your horizon for dead items, which is usually the last 12 months
