Summary
Supply Order Expedite Recommendations are suggestions from StockIQ on how you might be able to prevent low stock or stockouts by expediting supply orders. This article walks through how these recommendations are suggested.
Applies To
StockIQ can only make recommendations for expediting orders that appear to be un-shipped! This means we must have some information about shipment quantities in the supply order and/or incoming shipment data feeds. If StockIQ is saying all orders appear to be shipped, contact us to ensure your data feeds are complete.
Process
These expedite recommendations are primary accessible from the Stock Outs Screen and Projected Stock Outs screens.
The list of expedite recommendations is presented in a grid. You can decide which of these recommendations to take and make phone calls or adjustments with your suppliers.
The starting point for the list of expedite recommendations is the list of open orders in your system.
All orders are shown, whether or not they can be expedited, with an associated Expedite Action. The possible expedite actions are:
- Expedite - This means StockIQ is recommending an expedite for this supply. You will see a quantity to expedite and a new planned receipt date recommended for your expedite.
- Redirect - StockIQ is recommending redirecting a PO bound for a different location to this one in order to prevent the stockout.
- Expedite And Redirect - Both an expedite AND a redirect are required to help prevent this stockout.
- None - No action recommended for this order. Usually this is because the order has already shipped, and no expedite action can be taken.
NOTE: The option to check other sites for expedite recommendations is in the Display Options for each screen, respectively.
Calculations
- New Planned Receipt Date - Aka Expedited Planned Receipt Date. If you were to use your Expedited Lead Time, this is what your new arrival date would be. This is calculated by taking the existing Expected Ship Date and adds the Expedited Shipping Lead Time instead of the standard Shipping Lead Time
