OAuth for Authenticating StockIQ
As of the Spring 2022 Wave 1 release D365 Business Central will require OAuth for authenticating web
service (OData) communication. The following is a guide for setting up Business Central to accept
OAuth from StockIQ.
Microsoft Entra Applications
Please follow the steps to create a Microsoft Entra Application (formally Azure Active Directory Application) within your Business Central instance to allow StockIQ to authenticate via OAuth. The user granting consent will need to be an administrator in Business Central.
Once you have completed the steps in this guide please contact support@stockiqtech.com to have the
StockIQ support team complete the configuration within StockIQ that is necessary for OAuth.
Initiate a New Microsoft Entra Application in BC
1. Log into Business Central.
2. Use the search to find Microsoft Entra Application.
3. Click ‘+New’ on the Microsoft Entra Application page. This will open a new Microsoft Entra Application Card.
Create New Microsoft Entra Application
1. Enter the Client ID: {219be951-19bc-4abd-a15e-cad6d7ea217c}
2. Enter the Description: StockIQ Integration
3. State: Enabled
4. App ID & App Name do not need to be completed
6. User Permission Sets
a. D365 FULL ACCESS
b. D365 BASIC
c. SUPER (DATA)
Grant Consent
While still on the Microsoft Entra Application Card complete the following steps to grant consent. You will need Admin permissions to grant consent.
1. Click the ‘Grant Consent’ button.
2. You will be prompted for your credentials for Business Central.
3. Click ‘Accept’ on the page that asks for your permission to allow StockIQ to connect to Business
Central. It should look similar to the screenshot below.
