Users can be managed in StockIQ in the Admin--> Manage Security screen. You must have administrator privileges to see this screen.
The list of users is shown in a grid.
Adding/Editing Users
To add a new user, click on the "+New User" button in the upper right-hand corner of the Users grid. In the New User dialog, type in a user id (usually the first part of the email address), email address, and first and last name. Click on the Buyer ID drop-down and add the user if they are a buyer.
Add/Remove roles by clicking the checkbox next to the role name. You can see details about what each standard role provides in the Roles tab.
To edit an existing user, click their name, and details about the user, as well as the roles to which they are assigned will be displayed.
When you are done, click Save, and the user information will be updated.
NOTE: Make sure you receive a blue toast pop-up in the lower right-hand corner of the screen confirming that the user was saved successfully. Otherwise it means StockIQ was not able to send the appropriate email notification.
Resetting Passwords
You can use the "Reset Password" link to cause a new password to be emailed to the user.
NOTE: If the user is not receiving his "Reset Password" email, the most common culprit is usually the message going to the user's spam folder, or organization-level spam filtering. Please check those if these messages are not arriving.
Removing Users
Users cannot be deleted, but if you wish to disable their login so they no longer have access to StockIQ, you can un-check the "User is Active" checkbox.
User Data Filters
StockIQ supports limiting what data a user is allowed to see by filtering down data returned to that user. Normally, users are allowed to see all data within StockIQ.
If you want to filter down what they can see, you can limit visibility by Site, Supplier, Buyer, or Category 1, by selecting entries in the respective lists shown near the bottom of the screen. Note that when no records are selected (e.g. no sites are selected) the user implicitly has access to those sites (e.g. no sites are filtered out).
Creating Custom User Roles
You can add a custom user role by navigating to the Roles tab and hitting the plus button in the upper righthand corner. Alternatively you can select an existing role and hit the copy button in the upper right hand corner of the grid to copy to a new role.
Give your role a name and a description, then select the various permissions you'd like the role to have. Then hit Save
