Summary
The Dead Stock screen provides insight into the inventory that StockIQ has identified as dead. Information on the parameters used for calculating dead stock can be found in the Inventory Limits screen in System Configuration.
Column Description
- Item - the item which has been identified as dead.
- Site - the site for the dead item.
- # 1 Supplier - the primary supplier associated to the item-site.
- Description - the item description.
- Order Policy - the order policy associated to this item-site.
- Buyer Name - the Buyer Name associated to this item-site, if applicable.
- ABC - the ABC classification for the item.
- XYZ - the XYZ classification for the item.
- On Hand Quantity - the current on-hand quantity in units for this item-site. This may be 0 for some items, to help identify items that are still considered active in your catalog that may need to be cleaned out.
- On Hand Balance - the on-hand quantity multiplied by standard cost to provide a value.
- Historical Daily Usage - the historical daily usage for this item.
- Number of Open Supplies - the number of incoming supplies for this item.
- Avail Qty - the available quantity of the item, calculated as your current on-hand quantity less open demands.
Context Menu
In the Dead Stock screen, if you right-click on a row in the grid, the following menu will appear:
- Inventory Snapshot - provides item-site attribute information.
- Forecast Chart - a visual of the item-site forecast, this is the same as what you would see in the Forecast Manager.
- Sawtooth Chart - the sawtooth diagram for this item-site.
- Item-Site Notes - notes related to this item-site.

Open In
- Forecast Manager - this option opens this item-site in the Forecast Manager screen in a new tab.
- Order Schedule - this option opens the item-site in the Order Schedule screen in a new tab.
Dead Stock Over Time
The Dead Stock Over Time graph provides a visual for how many items in your inventory are considered dead and the percentage of your total excess those items make up.
