Summary
The Order Policies screen, found in the Inventory module, gives you a comprehensive view of the replenishment configuration for every item-site-supplier combination in your system This article reviews the information, display options, and charts presented on the Order Policies screen.
Column Descriptions
The columns in the Order Policies grid are designed to provide context for ...
- Item - the item whose order policy is being reviewed.
- Site - the site where the item is present.
- Supplier Code - the primary supplier for this item-site combination.
- Supplier Item Category - the Supplier Item Category for this item-site-supplier combination, if applicable.
- Site Group - the Site Group that this site is associated to, if applicable.
- #1 Supplier Name - the name of the primary supplier for this item-site.
- Buyer Name - the buyer associated to this item-site combination, if applicable.
- Description - the description of the item.
- ABC - calculated by StockIQ, the ABC classification of the item-site, based on your Class Group Settings.
- XYZ - calculated by StockIQ, the XYZ classification of the item, based on your XYZ criteria in Global Class Settings.
- Price Tier - the price tier of the item based on the settings in Global Price Tier Settings.
- Order Policy - the current active order policy assigned to this item, i.e. the one being used to determine how to place replenishment orders.
- SIQ Order Policy - the order policy that has been calculated by StockIQ, this may be different from the active policy if there is an Order Policy Override in place or your ERP is providing order policies to StockIQ.
- Current Cost - the current cost of the item-site.
- Standard Cost - the standard cost of the item-site.
- On Hand Qty - the current on-hand quantity of this item at the given site.
- Replaced Qty - if this value is non-zero, this means the item-site is part of an Item-Site-Replacement, the value in this column represents any amount of on-hand quantity that comes from the replaced (old) item.
- Standard Price - the standard price of the item-site.
- $ On Hand - the on-hand quantity represented in terms of inventory value based on the standard cost of the item-site.
- Total On Order Quantity - total quantity of open demand on this item-site.
- Total Available Quantity - the current total available inventory, this is calculated by StockIQ as your on-hand quantity less any open demands.
- Total Available Quantity at Lead Time - similar to your Available Quantity, but looks out across lead time, to include any additional expected demands and incoming supplies to determine what your projected available quantity is at your lead time.
- Safety Stock - the current active safety stock of this item-site.
- Target Stock - the current active target stock of this item-site.
- Max Stock - the current active max stock of this item-site.
- Usage Pattern - calculated by StockIQ, gives an idea of how quickly or slowly this item is moving through your warehouse at a glance.
Display Options
The Display Options in the screen allow you to modify the data presented in the Order Policy screen.
- All Order Policies - this is the default option for the page, this option will display all item-sites' order policies.
- With Order Policy Mismatch - displays rows where the Order Policy and the SIQ Order Policy do not match, this indicates StockIQ has calculated a different order policy than what is being currently being used.
- Recommended for Stock - displays rows where the Order Policy being used is a non-stock policy, but StockIQ would recommend this item to be stocked.
- Recommended for De Stock - displays rows where the Order Policy being used is a stocking order policy, but StockIQ would recommend this item not be stocked.
Detail Tabs
When you select a row in the Order Policy grid, the tabs below will provide contextual information for the selected item-site in the row.
- Forecast - a trend chart showing demand history and the current forecast projection for the selected item.
- Schedule - the item-site's calculated replenishment scheduled based on the active order policy and safety stock.
- Sawtooth - a sawtooth-style chart showing the projected inventory level over time for the selected item, illustrating how inventory is expected to build and deplete between order cycles.
- Alerts - this tab provides a grid view of all alerts related to the selected item-site.
